About the Role
Hoffman Homes is a community of employees gathered on one campus to help youth and young adults understand and manage their mental health diagnosis.
The Hoffman Academy offers educators the opportunity to experience full classroom autonomy while receiving all the necessary training to equip you with skills and strategies to purposefully build relationships with students and coworkers.
As a Special Education Teacher, you will develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with emotional and behavioral needs. You will create a supportive learning environment that promotes academic achievement and personal growth. The Hoffman Academy follows the school calendar, and this position is eligible for benefits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain).
- Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral needs preferred.
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
