How It Works
Businesses donate to support our programs and receive tax credits in return. Contributions directly support Hoffman Academy students.
Who Is Eligible
Pennsylvania businesses that pay PA state income tax can participate in the EITC program and receive valuable tax credits.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD)
Federal law allows people age 70 1/2 or older to make direct transfers of up to $108,000 per year per person (indexed annually for inflation) to qualified charitable organizations from their Individual Retirement Account (IRA), without the withdrawal being treated as taxable income. The withdrawal can satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). QCDs can be made to support any program at Hoffman Homes.
Steps to Make a QCD
Contact Your Plan Administrator
Request a "Qualified Charitable Distribution" (QCD) to Hoffman Homes.

- The QCD must be made payable to Hoffman Homes directly from the plan administrator.
Notify Hoffman Homes
Contact Janise Bankard, VP Marketing & Development, with your intent to make a QCD, including the gift amount and fund name.
Receive Acknowledgement
You will receive your QCD gift acknowledgement from Hoffman Homes. File this document with your tax information.
