Building a Safe and Supportive Learning Environment
School-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (SW-PBIS) facilitates a collaborative learning community, enhances student behavior, and improves student learning. Our Tier II SW-PBIS accreditation reflects our commitment to positive interventions and restorative practices that cultivate a compassionate and supportive learning community.
Three Pillars of Support
Everything we do is built on these three pillars, creating a school culture where every student can thrive.
Safety
Creating a physically and emotionally safe environment where students feel secure enough to learn, take risks, and grow.
Compassion
Meeting every student where they are with empathy, understanding, and a genuine commitment to their well-being and success.
Restoration
Using restorative practices to repair harm, rebuild trust, and teach students how to take responsibility and strengthen relationships.
Core Services that Empower Students
We provide comprehensive support across multiple dimensions of personal development.
Trauma-Informed Care
We prioritize safety and trust in our learning environment, understanding that many students have experienced significant trauma and need a healing-centered approach.
Restorative Support Team
Our dedicated RST members facilitate restorative conversations, help resolve conflicts, and teach students the skills to build and repair relationships with peers and adults.
Daily Mindfulness
Every student participates in mindfulness instruction at least once daily, building self-awareness, emotional regulation, and the coping skills they need both in and out of the classroom.
Family Support
Empowering Families: Partnering for Student Success
At Hoffman Academy, we believe that family involvement is essential for student success. Our comprehensive behavior support systems ensure that families are engaged, informed, and part of the journey. When families and educators work together with shared goals and open communication, students build the confidence and skills they need to thrive both in school and beyond.
